More than 5,000 NECO alumni live and work around the globe. Being part of this incredible network offers you a world of opportunities for connection and involvement.
As a NECO alum, you can remain active in the community through:
- Networking events
- Continuing education programs
- Career workshops
- Receptions at industry conferences
- Special campus gatherings, including reunions
- Alumni magazine and other communications
Plus, you’re invited and encouraged to help NECO carry on its mission by mentoring students, sharing job opportunities, and even identifying potential optometry students.
From referring prospective students and guest speaking in a class to leading career workshops and sharing practice opportunities, there are plenty of ways to stay engaged with your optometry alma mater.
Events & Conferences
Gather with your NECO classmates on campus—or on location at national conferences. We host a range of networking, social, educational, reunion, and celebratory events each year.
Your Alumni Relations Liaison
Hi! My name is Alina Reznik, graduating class of 2016. I am here to help with all things Alumni. I work closely with the Alumni Board, school departments, and students to unite our efforts in providing meaningful and engaging events, opportunities, and a sense of NECO community. Always happy to help: [email protected]
Getting involved with your alumni community means more than just donating. Ways of reconnecting or staying involved include: engaging with us on social media, taking a continuing education course, posting a job opening on our career service’s job site, among many other ways.
Whether you’re in search of your next professional challenge or want to post a job listing in your practice, the NECO Career Hub can help you.
NECO Magazine covers community news and alumni features to keep you current on all things NECO.
In 2022, New England College of Optometry recognizes 50 years of training students and serving patients in community health centers throughout the region. As the first optometry school to conceive and create such a clinical training model, NECO has influenced thousands of optometrists and optometry itself. Here’s the story of how it all began.
