The NECO Career Hub is a useful resource for students, recent graduates, and alumni of the New England College of Optometry. Employers can share practice and job information. External opportunities posted do not represent endorsement in any way by the college.

Accessing the NECO Career Hub

NECO has transitioned to a new career portal and you can post jobs here on the NECO Career Hub. You can use this to post an open position with your practice, seek a job, or tap into NECO career resources.

The CAPA Career Hub is a career management platform powered by Purple Briefcase.

  • If you already have a Purple Briefcase account, connect using our school code: NECO320.
    Create an employer account to post a job opportunity or practice for sale.
  • With an alumni account, you can view job postings and access career resources. With an alumni account, you cannot post jobs. You will need a separate employer account.

Creating an employer account

Please create a free employer account using the following instructions, which will allow you to connect with NECO and manage your job postings.

  • The first page will ask for your contact information to create your account.
  • The second page asks for business information. Select healthcare as your industry and fill in the rest of the required fields.
  • The system will then send a request to NECO to connect. In the meantime, you can finish setting up your profile. We recommend putting your company logo and putting in more details about your practice to make your posting stand out.
  • Once you’ve created your account, click “Add a Job.” Please add as many details as possible in the description and the application instructions. Under job functions, please select “healthcare.”
  • If you are posting a practice for sale, please follow the steps to create an account and add a job. Make sure to indicate in the job title that it is a practice for sale.

Please note: that employer connections and job postings need to be approved before they are published and we do our best to post them within 3 business days.

To post a job opening

With an employer account, you can post a job or a practice for sale.

  • Once you create an account, complete your employer profile and click “Add a Job.” Add as many details as possible in the description and the application instructions. Under job functions, please select “healthcare.”
  • If you are posting a practice for sale, please follow the steps to create an account and add a job. Make sure to indicate in the job title that it is a practice for sale.
  • Employer connections and job postings need to be approved before they are published and we do our best to post them within 3 business days.
