‘From Student to Faculty’

My time at NECO will always be memorable, filled with friends and experiences to last a lifetime. The community of the college has always been my favorite aspect of NECO.

I am so grateful I was involved in the many NECO organizations such as Student Council, NOSA, and founding NECO’s LGBTQ+ group PRISM, as well as enjoying the extra-curricular activities that were offered over the years.

After graduating, I completed the Vision Rehabilitation Residency through NECO. It was a great experience and I decided to stay on as faculty once completing the program.

I now work with student interns at Perkins School for the Blind and at Comm Ave eye center in the Vision Therapy clinic. I also have been lecturing in some of the upper-level courses at NECO’s Beacon Street campus. The transition from student to resident to faculty has been an incredible journey and I look forward to where my NECO and optometric career takes me!

You make us #NECOProud!
