Fall Activities for NECO Students
NECO students in Boston’s Back Bay are well-positioned to explore the city and surrounding areas. This guide features fall activities for October and November, organized by full-day, half-day, and quick trips.

How to Use the MBTA from NECO

Closest Stations: Hynes Convention Center on the MBTA Green Line (B, C, D branches) is a short walk from campus. Copley and Prudential stations are also nearby. Back Bay Station is within walking distance for Orange Line and commuter rail service.

- Museum of Science – Interactive exhibits plus planetarium and IMAX.
- Museum of Fine Arts – Extensive collections from ancient to contemporary.
- Faneuil Hall Marketplace – Historic marketplace with shops and food vendors.
- Arnold Arboretum – 281 acres in Jamaica Plain; fall foliage usually peaks mid-to-late October.
- New England Aquarium – Giant ocean tank, penguins, and marine life galleries.
- Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – Historic mansion and art collection.
