ASIP and AODP Information Session
NECO’s Advanced Standing International Program (ASIP) is designed for international optometrists pursuing a U.S. Doctor of Optometry degree. The Accelerated OD Program (AODP) is an accelerated 36-month program designed for medical doctors and scientists who are interested in becoming doctors of optometry.
The information session includes:
- An overview of our Boston location and NECO community
- The application requirements and process for these programs
- Meet the director of our international programs, Bina J. Patel, OD, FAAO
- A Q&A session
Financial Aid Webinar
Navigating the world of private and federal financial aid can be complicated. Fortunately, more than 85% of NECO students receive some form of financial aid.
This financial aid webinar covers general information about financial aid sources at NECO and how to complete the FAFSA. International student resources will also be reviewed. A representative of the Office of Financial Aid will be present to answer your questions.
Shadowing experience for your application
How do you get the most out of shadowing an optometrist? We realize that options for shadowing may be more limited this year, so this webinar will be helpful. This webinar includes:
- Tips for finding shadowing opportunities.
- Questions you should be asking when shadowing or speaking with an optometrist.
- Alternative ways to gain experience in the field.
- Advice from a NECO faculty member and a current student.
