We seek an Optometrist to join us in our brand-new space—a state-of-the-art, six-lane office complete with an expansive optical, in-house edging system, and plenty of room for additional specialty practices and/or medical care.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • No weekends, no formal call.
  • Provide medical-based eye care including external and internal exams and refraction
  • Diagnose eye conditions and systemic diseases and treat all eye conditions and ocular diseases to your comfort level within our State mandated scope of practice
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, low vision aids and medicines to treat eye diseases.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff.
  • Promote patient wellness and provide patient education.
  • Document care provided, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment and patient education.
  • Continue to learn, adding to your scope of practice and expertise, attend CE, maintain appropriate licenses and certifications.
  • Complete assigned projects and duties as needed according to department protocols.
  • Opportunity to buy into the practice after the first year if desired.

ABOUT THE PACKAGE

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive salary and bonus potential
  • First Year Compensation Package starting at $58/hr – $65/hr (commensurate with experience) plus incentives.

Qualifications

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctor of Optometry Degree (OD) from an Accredited School of Optometry
  • IA State Licensed or will be licensed to practice Optometry (New Graduates) in IA
  • The ability to motivate or influence others
  • Integrity, diplomacy and trust
  • Ability to cooperate and team build (internally and/or externally)
