New England Eye On-Sight Program helps connect students with needed optometric services
Dr. Bruce Moore, pediatric studies professor at NECO, and Paulette Tattersall, pediatric program director of NEE On-Sight, were featured in an article in the Boston Globe detailing their work supporting students in collaboration with City Connects. This program was created by educators at Boston College over a decade ago to help eliminate some of the barriers to learning that students may face which interfere with their learning such as fear, deprivation, bullying, and pain. The program partners with optometric programs such as New England Eye’s mobile clinic, On-Sight, to conduct eye screenings and provide students with necessary eye ware to enhance learning.
