New England College of Optometry, NECO, has launched an ambitious Fundraising Appeal called Campaign 2020 to support the development of the new clinical campus for students. The new campus includes the newly renovated NECO Center for Eye Care and a boutique optical shop at the Commonwealth location. Construction is slated to begin in January for a contemporary, state-of-the-art student training facility, expanding and enhancing our current pre-clinic experiences for students.
As we advance our mission to change the way people see through optometric education, discovery, and service, NECO strives to engage students to practice in the present and prepare for the future by learning about new technologies, healthcare policies, and methodologies for care.
“Our students and patients deserve the next generation of diagnostic services and excellence in training and eye care delivery. Together we can make this happen.”
The College invites faculty and staff, employees and community members to support its fundraising efforts in various ways. The generous support of donors will help make NECO’s strategic priority of launching the new clinic and instructional environment a reality. The expansion of the campus clinical training facilities will provide NECO students with the enhanced resources required to success.
The goal for Campaign 2020 is $5 million through individual and corporate gifts, class and group gifts, and legacy and memorial gifts. In addition to standard donations, NECO is offering several naming opportunities within the new clinical campus through targeted donations. Naming opportunities include diagnostic testing suites, clinic exam rooms, pre-clinic instructional bays, clinic seminar room, clinical research fund, clinical training fun, patient assistance fund, annual growth fund and a virtual portal.
