On Saturday, September 16, 2017, amidst the dazzle of Las Vegas and Vision Expo West, Dr. Tony Cavallerano, Director of Professional Relations and Margery Warren, Director of Alumni Relations welcomed twenty alumni attending the conference to join them for an Alumni Breakfast at Morels Bistro.
The gathering provided an opportunity for nostalgic memories, introductions, and networking. Dr. Cavallerano and Ms. Warren shared news of the opening of the new clinical and optical facility at 930 Commonwealth Ave, now called the NECO Center for Eye Care, as well as the upcoming pre-clinic construction at the same Commonwealth location. Additional College updates included upcoming alumni events, online and in-person continuing education programs, and the launch of NECO’s Campaign 2020.
Vision Expo West 2017 is a weeklong event that allows eyecare professionals to learn more about trends, fashion, education, and innovation in eyewear, medical equipment and innovative technology. Over 5,000 brands were on display and participants were able to participate in 23 specialty tracks of continuing education. Additionally, attendees experienced the latest industry advances in contact lenses, solutions, therapeutics and leading edge medical and diagnostic equipment
