Alumni Reunion for Members of The “8’s” Classes

On September 22 - 23, 2018, members of New England College of Optometry (NECO) Classes ending in 8, Class of ‘78, ‘88, ‘98 and ‘08, gathered to share nostalgic memories and renew friendships. Together, the alumni reconnected and reminisced about their time at the College.

NECO Residents Win Travel Fellowships

New England College of Optometry, NECO, is pleased to announce that nine NECO residents have been selected to receive Travel Fellowships by the American Academy of Optometry. Each award winner will receive a $750 travel grant to attend the Academy 2018 meeting in San Antonio in November.

NECO Selects Dr. Howard Purcell As Next President

The New England College of Optometry Board of Trustees has named Howard Purcell, OD ’84, FAAO, Diplomate, as the thirteenth President and CEO of the College. Dr. Purcell was selected following a national search to succeed Clifford Scott, OD, MPH, who will be stepping down after serving for nine years. He will take office on July 2, 2018.

Several classmates arrived on Friday night to enjoy a Boston weekend and time to rekindle friendships.
