New England College of Optometry invites applications for a tenure track, full-time Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Department of Vision Science. The department is seeking a faculty member with research interests in visual neuroscience and/or visual development, with a strong background in vision science. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience or relevant disciplines. An O.D. degree is desirable but not necessary.
The successful applicant will be expected to establish an extramurally-funded research program and will have teaching responsibilities in the College’s optometry program and in the graduate program in Vision Science. The applicant also will mentor students in the graduate program.
The College is a small, dynamic institution located in the historic Back Bay section of Boston. The College has a strong commitment to vision research and a collaborative research environment. Research at the college is supported by an NIH/NEI T35 research training grant, several NIH research grants, and internal funding.
