Clinical Faculty Opening - Community Health Center

The clinical system of The New England College of Optometry (NECO), invites applications to join the professional staff as an attending optometrist and clinician educator in a community heath center setting. We are seeking a doctor who has a keen interest in providing clinical care in a community setting, and a desire to teach tomorrow’s optometrists the principles of interdisciplinary care and community health.

Our mission is to improve the vision and eye health of populations through excellence in collaborative and community-oriented patient care, service, education, and research. A NECO optometrist is an exceptionally qualified doctor of optometry and clinician-educator who works in a dynamic team-oriented, multidisciplinary non-profit eye care network serving the vision and eye health needs of populations in greater Boston. NECO attending optometrists also have a faculty teaching appointment and thus advance both the service and teaching missions of the College.

A requirement for this position is to work some evenings. Qualifications include an OD degree with TPA licensure in Massachusetts, advanced professional credentials such as residency training or equivalent five years of clinical experience, appropriate credentials for a faculty appointment, and an active commitment to excellence in patient care and teaching.
