Current owner is looking to retire in the near future, so there is opportunity for growth and ownership. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction, and assessment of ocular health
  • Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases, providing appropriate recommendations for vision correction and eye care
  • Prescribe and fit contact lenses and eyeglasses to meet patients’ visual needs
  • Collaborate with the office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operation of the practice
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal requirements and professional standards
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in optometric technology, treatments, and industry trends

Qualifications

  1. Educational Background: Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  2. Licensing: Valid state license to practice optometry in Connecticut.
  3. Skills:
    • Proficiency in diagnosing and treating eye-related disorders and diseases.
    • Ability to conduct comprehensive eye exams using diagnostic tools.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  4. Professionalism: Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
  5. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
