Ceida Chan, OD

Assistant Professor of Clinical Optometry

Dr. Chan is a Assistant Professor of Clinical Optometry and an attending optometrist for the Homeless Service in the NECO Clinical Network.  As such, she provides primary eye care at Pine Street Inn and Jean Yawkey Place.  
She also provides primary eye care at Martha Eliot Health Center in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston.  She is a clinical preceptor for optometry students in their second, third, and fourth year of training.  
In years past, she has served as Chief of the Homeless Service, coordinating eye clinics at five Boston area homeless shelters.  She is a guest lecturer in the Low Vision Rehabilitation course. She previously participated in teaching Clinical Reasoning seminars.
Dr. Chan’s residency at the Jamaica Plain campus of the Boston VA Medical Center focused on primary care and ocular disease. She earned a BA from Northwestern University and OD from the Illinois College of Optometry.
