New England College of Optometry welcomes you to join us in celebrating Innovation, Leadership, and Access at our Profiles in Vision 2016 Gala Dinner on October 26, 2016. The 2016 Profiles In Vision will take place on October 26 at 6:30 pm at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston. Profiles In Vision is the College’s signature fundraising event and this year’s event will support NECO’S extraordinary work and service to the regional community in vision rehabilitation.
The evening will honor Commissioner Janet LaBreck and highlight the work done by students and faculty at the New England College of Optometry through the mobile clinic and outreach programs. Proceeds from Profiles in Vision 2016 will benefit New England College of Optometry’s patient care low vision rehabilitation programs and services.
This year’s honoree is the Honorable Janet LaBreck, Commissioner of Rehabilitation Services at the U.S. Department of Education. Previously, she was the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind where she was instrumental in helping develop the Low Vision Service of our On-Sight Mobile Eye Clinic. She was awarded an honorary degree from the College in 2008. Other speakers include award-winning author Ben Mezrich.
