OD/MS Dual Degree

Earn a Doctor of Optometry and Master of Vision Science in a fraction of the time—and without compromising on quality or experience.

The MS portion of the program features graduate-level courses, seminars, an original research project, and completion of a thesis with a thesis defense. The MS program is designed to develop the analytical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to be a successful scientist. The program emphasizes research in an area of vision science that is determined by your interests and the expertise of our graduate faculty.

Program Eligibility

Students may apply to enter the OD/MS Dual Degree Program during their first year at NECO. Current first-year NECO students will be interviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Application Instructions

The application is located on the NECO student portal. Please contact the Office of Admissions with any questions.

Submit your completed application to the NECO Office of Admissions by December 15 of your first year. Candidates will be notified of a decision by January 15.
