Eye Care Services at New England College of Optometry (NECO) Center for Eye Care

Primary Eye Care

Comprehensive eye exams are critical to protect and preserve one of the most valued senses - your vision. NECO Center for Eye Care offers one of the most comprehensive eye exams in New England by nationally recognized optometrists using state-of-the-art technology.

Contact Lens & Cornea Care

Utilizing the most recent advances in contact lens technology, the optometrists and contact lens specialists at NECO Center for Eye Care provide precision fitting of contact lenses, prescribe special contact lenses to restore sight to patients with corneal damage, and help the complex contact lens patients previously unable to find the perfect fit.

Pediatric Eye Care

Children have unique visual needs that may or may not include a prescription for eyeglasses. Through a comprehensive eye exam designed just for kids, NECO Center for Eye Care is helping our pediatric patients maximize their potential in school, in sports, and in life.

Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology services are provided by medical doctors with expertise in surgical eye care, as well as advanced medical diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and other diseases with related eye complications. At NECO Center for Eye Care, our patients benefit from the collaboration between our optometrists and consulting ophthalmologists who work together to provide care.

Vision Therapy (Commonwealth only)

Vision Therapy is a form of physical therapy for the eyes and brain. It is considered a highly effective non-surgical treatment for many common visual problems. Through the integration of in-office and home-based programming, NECO Center for Eye Care optometrists have designed a treatment regimen which is timely and cost effective. The Vision Therapy program has made a big difference in the lives of our adult and pediatric patients.

Low Vision Rehabilitation Service (Commonwealth only)

Vision is measured on a spectrum from perfect vision to blindness. Low vision or vision impairment refers to the middle of the spectrum where glasses, contact lenses, medicine, and/or surgery are unable to correct the vision loss. At NECO Center for Eye Care, our goal is to evaluate vision impairment and develop a plan of action to help each patient maximize visual function in everyday life.

Note: Additional Low Vision services are provided through our clinical affiliates at Perkins School for the Blind, Lynn Community Health Center, The Carroll Center, and the South Boston Community Health Center.
