May 9, 2013 - Congratulations to Stacy Hu, OD/MS 2015
Congratulations to Stacy Hu, OD/MS 2015, who has been awarded the Beta Sigma Kappa Student Research Grant for 2013. Stacy's project is entitled "Efficacy of non-invasively delivering Ranibizumab (Lucentis) to the back of the eye for the treatment of macular degeneration." Her study will determine the efficacy of delivering therapeutic antibodies to the retina by topical application.
For more than 75 years, the BSK Student Research Grant Program has been the only source of research funding dollars provided solely to students at accredited schools or colleges of optometry in the United States and Canada. This program’s funding has benefited hundreds of optometry students whose academic curiosity led them to seek answers to a vast variety of professionally-based questions covering a wide area of vision science and clinical practice.
