Dr. Roger Wilson Receives AAO Carel C. Koch Award

Dr. Roger Wilson, New England Eye’s Vice President of Health Center Programs, is the 2012 recipient of theAmerican Academy of Optometry’s Carel C. Koch Award. Dr. Wilson was recognized for his efforts to integrate optometry and vision care into the home environment.  His promotion of the New England Eye Network has produced many advances in providing comprehensive vision services to the underserved.  Dr. Wilson was presented with his award at the annual Academy meeting in Phoenix in October.

 

The Carel C. Koch Memorial Medal Award was established in 1974 and is awarded to a person who has made outstanding contributions to the enhancement and development of relations between optometry and other professions.  Click here to learn more about the Koch Award and to see a list of previous recipients.
