OD/PhD student Stephanie Adams was recently awarded the Lurie Center for Autism Award for her work helping to develop a tool to help optometrists fully examine patients with ASD. In an effort to bridge the gap and improve access and care to patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Stephanie Adams (Class of 2015) prepared a PowerPoint entitled, “The Eye Exam and Autism Spectrum Disorders: Adaptations to the Comprehensive Eye Exam for Serving Patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders.” View the slideshow.
