Heather Pena just joined the library and IT staff as the new Multimedia & Electronic Resources Specialist. She'll be in the library and with IT all around NECO - say hi and welcome her to the community.

Winter break hours
Saturday 12/18 9am - 12 noon Sunday 12/19 Closed Mon. 12/20 - Thurs. 12/30 8:30am - 5pm Fri. 12/24 - Sun. 12/26 Closed Mon. 12/27 - Tues. 12/28 8:30am - 4:30pm Wed. 12/29 - Thurs. 12/30 9am - 5pm Fri. 12/31 - Sun. 1/2 Closed Regular hours resume on Monday, 1/3/11
Exam period schedule
Mon. 12/6 - Thurs. 12/17 7:30am - 10pm Friday 12/10 7:30am - 9pm Sat. 12/11 & Sun. 12/12 9am - 5pm Friday 12/17 7;30am - 7pm Saturday 12/18 9am - 12 noon
During the study and exam period, the two upstairs rooms will be open from when the library closes each evening until midnight, when the building closes, beginning on Monday the 6th.11/30/2010
The library will be closed for Thanksgiving Weekend, Wednesday 11/24 at 3pm through Sunday 11/28.

On Monday 11/22/10 come to the circulation desk and make a reservation to take 1 - 2 reserve books home for the long weekend.
Pick up your reserved books anytime between Tuesday 11/23/10 12pm noon and Wednesday 11/24/10 12pm.
Books are due back on Monday 11/29/10 by 9:30am or the fine is $2.00/hr for each item. No renewals.
Remember: we want the book, not your money!

An interesting pilot study on how blind people equipped with microchips in their retinas were able to see again–at least dimly–and were able to make out shapes.
