Library News for 2009
The Marco Center will be closed from 2pm to 3pm on Thursday, June 11.
Please plan accordingly.
The library has a 30-day trial of a really great tool. It will help you get from search results to the full-text of articles as quickly and simply as possible. This tool adds a simple icon, which links you to options for obtaining full-text, to your search results in selected databases.
Since its a trial version, we haven't been able to fully customize it yet. We have it set up to work with Scopus and Health Reference Center Academic. [Note: it will also work with the other Gale databases.] If we do decide to purchase this product, it will work with all of our databases and we'll be able to set it up so that it suits our specific needs.
We've developed a brief tutorial on what to expect when performing a search in Scopus and Health Reference Center Academic. The trial runs from now until July 2, so please check it out for yourself and let us know what you think!
If you have feedback on this product, please send it to Kristin Motte.
If you have any questions, please direct them to Dan McCloskey, or another library staff member if he's not available.
Summer hours, beginning on Tuesday, May 26, are as follows:
Monday -- Friday: 8:30 am -- 7 pm
Saturday: 11 am -- 6 pm
The Marco Center opens at 7:30 am Monday through Friday, and 11 am on Saturday.
