Library News for 2009

Off-campus Access to Library Resources

To obtain access to many of the Library's resources from off-campus requires you to login with your NECO email username and password. We provide a generic username and password for access to off-campus resources to adjunct faculty who do not have NECO email addresses.

Since we have to update this password annually, an email was sent this week to affiliated adjunct faculty with the new information. If you fall into this category, but did not receive said email, or you have questions or problems with access, please contact Dan McCloskey at mccloskeyd@neco.edu or 617-587-5617.

Discontinuation of EBSCO Databases

Due to the fact that some of the Library's database subscriptions are provided by the Boston Regional Library System (BRLS), there are a few recent changes of note.

The BRLS has discontinued subscriptions to all EBSCOhost databases, most notably Health Source - Consumer Edition and Science Reference Center. These have been replaced by some additions to the Gale group of databases, including Health and Wellness Resource Center and Science Resource Center.

For the full list of databases that the Library subscribes to, please refer to our Bibliographic Databases page.
