Library News for 2008

Beginning on Monday, Nov 24, you can:

• Make a reservation to take 1 or 2 reserve books for the holiday weekend.


• They can be checked out starting Tuesday, Nov 25, at noon.


• They will be due Monday, Dec 1, at 9:30am.


• NO RENEWALS. Fines will be calculated at $2 per hour for each item, beginning at 9:30am on Monday.

The Library is now providing access to the Foundation Directory online, the "grant seeker's best friend", to help those who are exploring grant opportunities to find current sources of funding. If this resource proves useful to the NECO community, the library will continue its subscription when it comes up for renewal in one year.

Because of the nature of our subscription, the Directory is available for use in the library only. Please see Kristin Motte if you'd like to use it, and don't hesitate to ask any questions or to provide feedback.

The Library will be closing at 7pm on Tuesday, November 25 and 5pm on Wednesday, November 26, and will be closed Thursday through Sunday of Thanksgiving Week.

Complete Library hours for Thanksgiving Week:

Monday, Nov 24: 8:30AM - 9PM
Tuesday, Nov 25: 8:30AM - 7PM
Wednesday, Nov 26: 8:30AM - 5PM
Thu-Sun, Nov 27-30: CLOSED

The Marco Center will open at 7:30AM on days that the Library is open. Regular Fall term hours will resume on Monday, December 1.

One of the library servers is down. Affected services are library printers, image databases, and off-campus access to electronic resources.

We will let you know when these services have been restored.

All library services that were previously down (printers, off-campus access, image databases) have been restored.

There will be a brief outage of some library services this afternoon beginning at 3:30pm.

Services that will be affected are all library printers, the ocular and college image databases, and off-campus access to e-journals and other electronic resources.

We anticipate that the outage will last approximately 15 minutes, and we will communicate accordingly regarding when services have been restored.

Due to scheduled server maintenance, access to all online journals and resources through EBSCO will be down from 11:00 to 11:30PM (EST) on Friday, November 7.
