A great tool to personalize your PubMed searching experience. Registered for a My NCBI account to save your customized search results and set up automatic alerts on your topic of choice. 
 

RSS Feeds
These are an easy way to stay current with the news on your favorite professional websites.  The following are a couple examples of optometry-related websites that offer RSS feeds:

• NEI
   

 E-Newsletters
Websites that do not have RSS feeds often have e-newsletters you can subscribe or receive via email, in order to stay current with their organization.  Here are a couple examples:

• Review of Optometry
• American Optometry Association

State Associations
These offer additional ways of networking with your peers and staying current on the issues within your geographic area.  Here are a few of associations within the New England area, there are associations in almost every state in both the US and Canada.

Continuing Education
The Office of Continuing Education and the Research Lecture Series are great resources for CE opportunities in the area, as are the following websites:
