Dr. Srinivasan joined the NECO faculty as an assistant professor in 2012 in the Department of Primary Care. She is one of the instructors in Development, Strabismus and Amblyopia Course. In addition, she is a lab instructor for Principles and Practice of Optometry I and Pediatric Optometry. She is the Director of pediatric special program which includes Special Populations Rotation, Special Populations Experience Course and Pediatric Concentration program.
Dr. Srinivasan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in optometry from Elite School of Optometry (India) in 2005. After practicing for a brief period in India she received a master’s of science in physiological optics from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 2009 followed by receiving Doctor of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry (NECO) in 2011 and completed a residency program in pediatric optometry in 2012.
Her clinical expertise is in pediatric optometry. She is the attending pediatric optometrist at the Codman Square Health Center and NECO Center for Eye Care Roslindale. Her research interests include novel approaches to amblyopia treatment, vision screening and eye care in children and is actively involved in clinical research. She is an investigator in the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group.
