Dr. Lewandowski has been a faculty member at the New England College of Optometry since 2014 and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor. She is a laboratory instructor for first year optometry students in the Principles and Practices of Optometry courses as well as a clinical tutor. Additionally, she is a clinical preceptor and mentor to second, third, and fourth year students during their clinical rotations. Dr. Lewandowski serves on the NECO Research committee and New England Eye Quality Assurance Committee. She also works with the Admissions department as a faculty interviewer for NECO candidates.
Most recently, Dr. Lewandowski became the Director of Vision Services at North End Waterfront Health, a multi-disciplinary health center affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital. She oversees all aspects of patient care within the optometry department, provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, and is a clinical preceptor to optometry students from the college.
After graduating from NECO in 2013, Dr. Lewandowski completed her residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Eye Care at the Brockton Veteran Affairs Medical Center. She has given continuing education lectures on various ocular disease topics at the Boston Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in West Roxbury, MA. Dr. Lewandowski’s clinical interests include public health, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular imaging.
Dr. Lewandowski has been a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometry, American Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry since 2010, and is a current fellowship candidate for the Academy.
