Alumni Continuing Education Telemedicine Screening for Retinal Disease
Optometrists play an important role in identifying patients at risk for vision-threatening conditions, yet primary care settings may be the best site for identifying patients at-risk for visual disability.
NECO alumni are invited to join colleagues to learn why digital retinal imaging may be a valuable tool for evaluating patients with retinal and optic nerve disorders. This one hour COPE-accredited lecture entitled Telemedicine Screening for Retinal Disease presents an overview of a successful teleretinal imaging model for identifying patients at risk, for practice building, and promoting a comprehensive approach to improving access and adherence to care.
The lecture will be facilitated by Tony Cavallerano, OD, '72, Executive Director of Clinical Training and Patient Care, Director of Professional Relations, and Adjunct Professor, at New England College of Optometry.
