Meet the Office of Institutional Advancement
Nancy Broude – Vice President of Institutional Advancement
Nancy oversees fundraising and alumni affairs operations, legacy giving, publications, the annual fund, corporate giving and foundation research and partnerships. She works closely with faculty and clinicians in the development of grant proposals. Nancy brings to this position extensive experience in development, higher education, and health care. One of her passions is to address health disparities and provide access to vision care to all populations.
Tony Cavallerano, OD – Director of Professional Relations
Dr. Cavallerano is director of the training programs for the teleretinal imaging initiative for the VA Boston Healthcare System and a faculty member at NECO. With more than 30 years affiliation with NECO and a deep understanding of vision care and the optometric industry, he represents the College at conferences and alumni gatherings nationwide. He also works with the Alumni Association to make sure their voice is represented at the College.
Jo Ann Gershaw – Director of Alumni Affairs and Special Events
Jo Ann has worked at the College in many roles for over 8 years. She is responsible for the planning and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage alumni with the College and that provide tangible benefits to alumni and students. She works with the Alumni Board to establish and build relationships with alumni - locally, regionally, nationally and internationally; oversees communication with alumni via email, the alumni web pages, social media and individual visits. She also coordinates all College community wide events.
