New England Eye

New England Eye (NEE) is the patient care and clinical education subsidiary of the New England College of Optometry, established in 1973. The mission of NEE is to improve the visual health of diverse populations through excellence in collaborative and community patient care. Through New England Eye, our optometrists and students make a difference in the community, as well as in the lives of individuals with disabilities, older adults, homeless, and low-income children from varied cultures and backgrounds at 45 health care facilities throughout Greater Boston and in two comprehensive eye clinics in Boston and Roslindale. New England College of Optometry Clinical Network - New England Eye

New England Eye is the clinical affiliate of the College. It manages all College-owned patient care operations and maintains liaisons through professional service agreements with other clinical training sites in the Boston area. Its patient care model is based on an assessment of community needs, working closely with these communities to provide the best services to meet those needs. New England Eye includes:

  • NEE Commonwealth and NEE Roslindale
    Two flagship patient care location in Boston, one on Commonwealth Ave and one in Roslindale 
  • On-Sight Mobile Clinic
    A mobile eye clinic that travels through the city and other locations around the state providing comprehensive eye exams by pediatric doctors at schools and preschools and low vision doctors at senior centers.  Read more about On-Sight Mobile Eye Clinic.
  • The New England Eye Clinical Network
    A network of over forty community health centers, geriatrics/low vision locations, school programs, hospitals, and homeless programs.
