New England College of Optometry (NECO) Center for Eye Care, formerly known as New England Eye, encompasses two comprehensive vision centers that provide services to individuals at all stages of life. The two centers, at Commonwealth Ave and Roslindale, are owned and operated by the College. At each center, optometrists and optometric students provide comprehensive eye services to people of all ages in a welcoming, state-of-the-art environment.
As an academic vision center, our clinical faculty provide excellent care as they help to train the next generation of optometrists. Services include Primary Eye Care, Cornea & Contact Lenses, Vision Therapy, Pediatric Eye Care, Low Vision Rehabilitation, Consultative Ophthalmic Care, and a new Myopia Control Clinic. Our Commonwealth location is found directly on Commonwealth Ave, a mile from the main campus. The Commonwealth clinic and optical center have relocated to a beautiful new redesigned space on the first floor, directly on Commonwealth Avenue. This location will soon house our complete Clinical Campus, comprised of three parts: the newly completed flagship clinic and dispensary, a clinical annex that offers rehabilitative vision services and clinical research, and our new state-of-the-art clinical training facility for students.
NECO Center for Eye Care Roslindale

Our Roslindale location is found on Washington Street in Roslindale, a neighborhood of Boston. This location serves the Greater Roslindale location, providing a complete range of eye care services to people of all ages. Services include comprehensive exams, contact lens fitting, low vision care, pediatric care, vision therapy, and refractive surgery evaluations. Students gain clinical experience as part of their professional training.
A Network of Clinical Placements
Many NECO students do a clinical rotation at a NECO Center for Eye Care during their time at the College, providing patient-centered care in primary and specialty areas. The Commonwealth and Roslindale centers are part of the NECO Clinical Network, a network of clinical sites throughout the Greater Boston area where our students do their clinical placements throughout their studies. The NECO Clinical Network is one of the largest providers of optometric services in Massachusetts. Throughout the network, our providers and students provide comprehensive, state of the art vision care to individuals at every stage of their life through the network of vision centers, clinical affiliates, school programs, and community partnerships and outreach.
